Designed for use with split pistons, the seals are precision molded rubber elements reinforced with rubberized fabric. Type DPE is equipped with a polyacetal anti-extrusion ring on the outer diameter. Increased machining clearance between piston crown and cylinder bore to allow for higher working pressures. The seals are designed with sufficient radial cross-sectional interference to provide a low pressure seal when fully assembled. The supporting rubberized fabric has the function of retaining the sealing medium, reducing friction and wear. Style DPEs have proven effective in a variety of applications.
